  • When my husband and I arrived here for a weekend getaway, I loved the vibe that the lobby gives straightaway, and the staff was very pleasant. It definitely isn't a regular "hotel", as your room isn't entirely enclosed within a building, but it's not a motel. I found it to have a "Euro" vibe, strangely enough. They offer valet parking, but it's much more convenient to self-park, with the layout of the property. There is a resort fee which is clearly explained up front, that covers parking, pool, fitness, etc.... all of the regular things a fee would include. When we started settling in, I loved the room, the location (close to old town, but not TOO close), but things went downhill over two days. I'll try to keep it short, but essentially it was a bunch of smaller things that added up. The shower had one setting, the AC worked very poorly (we would walk in from 110 degree weather and feel great,m but after a little while, get hot, because the room wouldn't cool any further, it was a very outdated system), the walls were really thin and we only noticed the second night, when a baby was screaming next door for about 40 minutes (of course this happens, and since it was in the middle of the night, we called to request a late check-out... they said to call back in the morning and check (???) - my husband called back early morning, and he said it sounded as if they were reading off of a script... that they had too many check-ins that day (Sunday August 17th...) so our request could not be accommodated (couldn't they have realized this the night before?), and any movement on their beds, including climbing in quietly as to not wake your spouse in the middle of the night was very noisy/loud/easily felt... it was impossible to move on the bed without it creaking (and be careful not to trip over the bed frame that sticks out on the bottom of the beds)... it was just a sub par experience overall, but most of the staff was great.
