| - We stayed here a few years ago when it was the Dahlmann Campus Inn. Yes, the rooms are cozy; but I have to laugh at the reviewer who said he and his wife kept running into each other. My question is, are you both hippopotami? I like the new place. It is well appointed. The staff is very helpful; and they do not use heavily perfumed laundry detergent. This has gagged me at other places. There is a hair dryer, a safe, a coffee maker, and a small fridge. I liked the mattress, my wife did not. I found her on the couch in the middle of the night. I gigged the place a star for two reasons. First, the room was so hot and stuffy, it was uncomfortable and cloistering. The second is the same reason I gigged the Campus Inn. There is student housing across Frances Street. The girls (they are not women yet) started screaming and screeching at about 9 pm and didn't stop until well after midnight. I'm not talking loud conversation, I'm talking screams and animal-like noises for nearly 4 hours. Then, at 1:30 some guy was making noises that sounded like an ape in heat. At 2 am the whistler started. I've never heard such a cacophony of noise like this. If you stay at this place avoid rooms that face Frances Street like the plague. They do have a shuttle that will take you to the airport and anywhere within 2 miles. The little coffee shop and the 7th floor bar are very nice. If you go too far into the parking garage and cannot find a spot, get ready to back out. There is no turnaround or any other way out. Everything in the room was accessible. The shower is huge; but the temperature controls are tricky. Just a quarter of an inch will change the water from searing hot to frigid cold. I'm sure a room away from the screaming students would be stellar. A fan would be nice.
