  • Byron Mills seems competent but is not a "go-getter" and ultimately my case was not enhanced by his representation. He failed to provide a strategy for our case and every time I provided him information that could be useful for a strategy he immediately shared that information with the other party's legal counsel. The only positive outcomes I received in my case, I did through my own negotiation during court ordered mediation. He gave very generalized guidance e.g., "give me everything" and naturally charged me for the time it took him and his associate to read everything. THEN he said he couldn't use anything older than 2-years. That would have been good to know before I sent him everything. When his office prepared court documents for my review they had glaring errors and misspellings. I corrected and returned the documents and when they were sent again still had several of the same errors. This happened about six times and later I found out I was charged each time they touched the document. He provided me with evidence from the other attorney minutes before we went before the judge even though his office had them over a week. In the end he still gets paid win or lose and I paid him well over $10,000 to draft a few motions and to advise me to settle. Obviously I was not pleased with the outcome.
