My home warranty company assigned my water heater claim to Veterans. Frank came out and knew immediately that the water heater was shot and needed to be replaced. He took the time to show me where the lower element had shorted out and where the sediment was coming out of it. He spent 20 minutes on hold with my home warranty company only for them to give him the runaround.
Frank and I chitchatted while he was on hold and I found him to be very pleasant and knowledgeable. Once Frank was connected to the home warranty company, he had the conversation via speaker phone so I could hear what they said. When we found out the home warranty company was not going to approve the claim then, Frank was able to get me a quote from his company and able to get the installation scheduled the next day.
Frank was awesome and I would definitely work with him again.
When the technicians came the next day, they were polite and within the timeframe. They explained to me various steps as they worked to disconnect my water heater and were very respectful. Unfortunately, the technicians damaged the drywall on the water heater stand, and didn't tell me about it. I should have paid attention when they said they were done but I was so excited to have hot water again, I got distracted. I noticed the damage once I started to put the garage back in order.
I understand the old water heater was difficult to maneuver, and perhaps the drywall couldn't be helped, I just wish they had told me about it. I'm disappointed that I now have some messed up drywall in my garage, but I'm glad to have a water heater that works.
I would call Veterans again; I would just pay really close attention to the finished product.
