Vegas can be a harsh environment for entertainers. I saw Gordie Brown's show yesterday and I would just say this is not the kind of shows I'm used to.
I guess the show just moved from a big showroom Downtown to a small theater on the Strip. So they still are adjusting it to this new room and getting used to the downsizing. But that's how life goes, ups and downs. I just don't really get how an entertainer keeps complaining about it. I mean, as an audience member, this is the last thing I want to hear. Ok, you're on a budget. Ok, the audience isn't as great as you were used to. Well, I'm on a budget too, and I go and see shows to leave these concerns at the door and have a good time actually.
I understand the technical conditions can be hard to deal with too. But the mic wasn't working. The guitar wasn't plugged in. And out of tune. The reverb on the mic was pretty randomly activated.
So... I strongly believe Gordie Brown is a great entertainer, with a lot of talent, but getting used to change and not sharing your issues with the audience are the keys.
Show must go on! That's all the audience is asking for. Wishing you guys the best of luck.
