Had a horrible experience at the Macy's furniture gallery on the Ross Park Mall Drive. We went in to look for furniture for my toddler's bedroom and also for our patio. As we walked in, this unfriendly sales associate asked what we were looking for. She was very negative from the outset and told us that she didn't think we will find what we were looking for. She was acting like her job was so much below her, as if she was doing us a favor by taking the pain to walk around the store for us.
After showing us a few items that were on display, she suggested that we look at the website for additional designs. She scrolled down a webpage to show us a few bedroom sets. When I asked for pricing on one of the sets, she walked away telling me that she will find that out for me and will be right back. We waited for a good 15 minutes and then started walking towards the patio furniture section. We ran in to her on our way - she was helping another customer finalize a purchase!! She then told me - Oh! I will be right with you after I am done with them! Yeah, right! How rude is that! - we would still have been waiting for her if the kids had not started getting so restless. We had had enough by this time - we quietly walked out of the store.
Customer service is a big part of the shopping experience for me. If I don't get good customer service, I would rather take my money elsewhere. Well - Levin furniture was the winner in this case - excellent customer service - we bought both a lovely bedroom set for my toddler and a great patio set.
NEVER going back to this Macy's furniture gallery again!
