It's two blocks from my office and within walking distance from the rest of downtown. I come early to get a table with stools because the stylish metal chairs are very uncomfortable. They fit nicely with the decor, but horribly with my butt. The service is usually quite good and the staff seems happy. The food is not traditional Mexican fare; it's a more modern style. My favorite is the seafood chowder, which unfortunately is not sold in the warmer months. It's my favorite soup in town. They recently upgraded their street tacos by wrapping the excellent fillings with fantastic freshly made corn tortillas. They also just added fresh masa sopes that are excellent. Give it a try but don't show up before 11:30 -- I don't want you unwashed barbarians taking all the stools.
