  • I just want to start off by saying this place is amazing!!!! We stopped here by chance because our normal brunch place had a long wait time and we saw New South has $3 mimosa! Winner!! I had the chicken and waffles with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken was tender and juicy and full of flavor! The waffle was the best waffle I've had in a long time! It was so delicious paired with the syrup and homemade butter. The Mac and cheese didn't disappoint either! I was very pleased with my plate. I also nibbled on everyone else's plate. My friend ordered a bacon, cheese & onion omelette. It was a nice portion and very flavorful and cheesy. That also came with potato wedges seasoned with sea salt -which were very tasty! My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken that came with his choice of 2 sides; mashed potatoes and collard greens. I tasted both and of course it was delicious!! Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant, the prices aren't bad, the food is fresh (& did I mention LOCAL?!!). I will definitely be coming back to try dinner. Brunch was a hit!!
