| - This review is for a MEN's cut and wash only. $18 + tip
I would give it 1.5 stars but since I was fooled by the high Yelp rating thus far, I figure a 1 should tone it down a bit to reality.
I went in for the first time after about 3+ weeks since my last cut. Each time I go to a new place/stylist, I try to play it safe and ask for more of a trim than a real haircut. Basically, clean up the sides and trim on top.
I asked for a scissors only cut but was told that would be too difficult near the bottom of my hair - which is fine. When asked for what clipper size I want my sides/bottom, I said go with a 2.5 and then blend the rest with scissors...simple enough right?
Next thing I know, the clipper starts on the base of my neck and ends up on the top half of the back of my head...WTF.
From there on out, it was a salvage job. Luckily, the top isn't completely butchered but the technique on the blend/fade on the bottom/sides is horrible. There are areas that are longer than others and one side seems more rounded than the other. Yes, I asked for texture on the top, but I'm still referring to the sides/bottom area...
I found this place on Yelp with a high rating and was excited for a great cut, but now that I look back on it, I should've just gone to SuperCuts.
I am not trying to be mean spirited or spiteful, just telling it like it is...best of luck to you if you decide to go here.
