food was great here! Great art deco design. The service was interesting to say the least. We walked into the restaurant where we stood for 10 minutes without the hostess acknowleding we were standing there or even looked up. Our server came by several times to check to see how the food was or if we needed anything. At one point he came by to make small talk that was painfully forced. The busser was subpar...he came by several times to fill up water and spilled it all over my phone and didn't even notice even when I said something.
We ordered the foie gras apppetizer, lobster bisque soup, bone in prime ribeye, onion shoestrings, mac n cheese, and creamed spinach.
The appetizer and soup were okay, but the ribeye and sides are top notch. The ribeye was cooked perfectly rare as requested. It was super tender and seasoned perfectly. The onion shoestrings came out as a heaping pile of crispy salty perfection on a plate...enough for 4 people. The mac n cheese was creamy and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. the creamed spinach was loaded with cream and cheese and had a crumbly topping. All the sides were large enough for at least 2 people.
My only wish was that I had room for dessert...will definately save room next time for the creme brulee or the bread pudding!
