I use to love the Vig, but sadly my last few visits were awful. I went for lunch today and ordered the Ribeye. What a mistake. I ordered the steak medium and it was well done and had a huge end section that was all fat. I had already been there for some time and the service was pretty bad. Our waitress kept disappearing. At one point we had to get another server to help us. I did not have time to have it redone. I asked that it be removed from my bill. The GM Cheri came to the table and told me that "that's what medium is to my chef". The entire steak was cooked through solid brown all the way. What kind of manager comes over and tells you, you are wrong about an obviously overcooked steak? It's pretty universal. There were three in my party and it took about 40 minutes for food to even come out. We were there over an hour just trying to have lunch I know, I know....they were cooking the hell out of that steak!!! I also know, I should have never ordered steak at the Vig! The time before that they served me raw hamburger that I actually wanted cooked well. They took it in the back and nuked it, and brought me back the same plate with crusty ketchup on it. Go figure from raw to "OMG who would do this to a steak?" I will never go to this restaurant again. The GM is something else. I wish I knew who the owner was. As a business owner I couldn't believe what a threat to revenue this crew and bad food is. I would clear the deck at that place and start with some new staff (to be fair, there were servers who seemed to be great, just not ours) ones who know a MEDIUM steak. Here's hoping someday this turns back in to the cool little place it used to be. Oh and just a side note, you should inform someone about the fruitty Iced Tea if they order an Arnold Palmer it makes a difference...just sayin' :)
