  • This place is called "Kind Exchange" but the staff here are anything but kind. I have visited the Queen Street location on more than one occasion as well as the then Bloor location. I get weary of places like this because they do not brand themselves according to what they do. Maybe they need some marketing help! This store has convenience as a factor working for it. Sometimes the same staff work at different locations. This store sells brand name used clothing. Name brands like Levi, Banana Republic and the sorts. They way it is branded on their website does not speak to this effect. I tried to sell a pair of Raybans sunglasses to no effect. I was told they need the authenticity receipt. Who out in the real world keeps a receipt for a pair of sunglasses that is four years old? How ridiculous. I don't like the staff at this store. I find them quite unprofessional and rude. They behave as if people are trying to sell them fake things. There is no standard buying practices here. You're always told ramblings on why they are not taking something for the store. I tried selling a pair of Perry Ellis footwear. First time I went in the shoes had a few stains which I forgot to remove. I was told to bring it back when it is cleaned and they will asses it again. Most importantly, I was told by the sales representative that she liked the look of it. This led me to believe that it was going to be sold. The next day I took it in after I cleaned it. I was told in a fast ramblings that went on and on that it's not going to sell. I asked for the other sales representative from the day earlier. Girl #1 leaves and goes to get the sales rep from the previous day. In the end I was told some bullshit about how she told me that if someone else assesses it then it's a final decision. Kind Exchange: your sales rep lied to me and tried to pin it on me. Why did Girl #1 had to leave and talk to the sales rep influencing her decision. I'll never visit your store again. You give people the impression that it's a used clothing store yet there are so many limitations as to what you are taking.
