After a meh visit at the Scottsdale Quarter location, we received a coupon for BOGO free through their rewards app. We decided to visit this location and give it a try since we were in the area. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was how packed it was. Did everyone come for the coupon? There was probably around 20 or more people waiting to get their ice cream.
The workers did yell out to please be patient a few times as they are working as fast as they could. We sat down and waited... And waited... Then we stood and waited... and waited...the whole time watching. I understand that the ice cream is made to order, but the process was not efficient at all. There were times that no ice cream was being made/churned. The workers were all working hard, but if there is a promo going on, you would think that they would staff it better?
So, after 45 minutes, we finally got our ice cream. Thankfully it was made well/correctly and tasted good.
Overall, after 2 sub par visits (here and the Scottsdale Quarter) and 2 good visits (Scottsdale Waterfront and Uptown), they are batting at .500... Which isn't very good for an ice cream shop. I'm not sure how often we will make it a point to go since it is kinda pricey and a 50-50 chance of it being a good experience
