Just some thoughts from our experience:
Pros: staff is friendly enough, resort is clean, the sand entry pool is great for small children. Breakfast and the breakfast buffet was good at the bistro. Specialty coffee drinks on site. Nice little "made in AZ" section for travelers to buy locally made gifts. Great assortment of programming- activities for kids, live music, etc. hard to find on their website though.
Cons: Parking and resort fee is sort of high. Both check-in and check-out took a long time for just a few people in line. Room service food was on the same level as fast food, so not worth the money. The TV offered in room movies for $19! Most hotels just let you stream your Netflix and apps these days. Poolside lemonade was $7 and poolside nachos not worth it. Also, being vegetarian there's basically nothing to eat in the hotel except salad or a quesadilla- and if vegan then really slim choices. Also would like to see some more green initiatives- more recycle bins at the least.
