One of the things that makes Montreal great is of course their style of bagels: smaller, sweeter and denser, with a larger hole, and baked in a wood-fired oven. Very few outside of Montreal can do it right but The Bagel House pretty much gets the recipe down for Toronto. I had a standard poppy seed bagel here toasted with butter. You can taste the difference their wood fired oven makes. So, so good. I could eat these every day, forever. Certainly tops when it comes to Montreal style bagels in Toronto, though in direct comparison to St-Viateur's bagels this: http://media.eyeweekly.topscms.com/images/f9/aa/72052a544e2b8edb1b1fd61e0437.jpeg pretty much sums up my feelings.
Aside from bagels they also have sandwiches and other small foodie items like latkes and knish. I recommend.
