| - Came here on a recommendation of a friend. Her and husband had done a couples massage. She had gotten a text message alert about a special they were running: 22$ an hour for deep tissue and hot stone massage! I couldn't pass that up.
The massage place is upstairs of a office building. The ambiance is sorta like a regular massage place with a lot of Chinese accents: pictures, fountains and even the entrance is decorated in red and gold.
As I filled out the forms I noticed something weird: they didn't ask for any medical history. They just asked about sore spots and your name and emergency contact. Not as thorough of paperwork as I'm used to but whatever.
As I walked back into the massage room, it was quite a surprise. I was expecting some dingy massage parlor, but the inside was just like the expensive massage parlors I had gone to. Nice clean rooms, clean sheets, some kinda whale/rainforest music in the background, a large fridge and hot towel warmer. Everything as well as the appliances look pretty new.
The only confusing thing is that I had to ask what was going on bc the owner walked me back and not the masseuse... I had to stick my head out to ask what was happening.
Shortly there after a tiny Asian woman walked in, she barely spoke any English. Didn't matter to me. Her name was Angel. despite her size she def worked my back, shoulders, arms, hands and head. I informed her to stay away from my legs, which she did after repeating it to her 2x.
The only weird thing was that she physically jumped on the table to massage my upper shoulders and back. Whatever, I was kinda weirded out but it was a splendid surprise, she def worked out my back knots.
Minimum tip was 10$ ( as per recommended by the facility). Usual price of the massage is 38$/hr.
They also offer a localized back massage 50min with 10min arm and head massage- total time 1hour for 48$.
Super reasonable.
Loved Angel. Def recommend her. I even book my husband and myself another massage before I left.
