  • This is a review for the CVS Minute Clinic. My first try was November 2015. I had just moved to Vegas and was not yet established with a Primary Physician. I had been sick for a few days with what seemed to be a cold/flu/upper respiratory illness. There was only one person ahead of me so the wait was minimal. The Practitioner was polite, professional and asked lots of questions. She advised me that I had allergies and prescribed Flonase and Zyrtec. (I've never had allergies before in my life) After no improvement in 2 days, I found a Primary Physician, was diagnosed with a respiratory infection and prescribed a strong Anti-Biotic (5-day), Cough Suppressant and Albuterol Inhaler. That treatment took care of it. Yesterday, I had been sick with a cold for about 5 days. DayQuil & NyQuil were not working and my ear was stopped up and hurting. I decided to try the Minute Clinic again since it is close by and would be quicker and more convenient than my Primary Physician. There wasn't a line so the wait was minimal. The same Practitioner that I had before was there. Again, she was polite. professional, asked questions and looked in my ear and nose. She said I had an ear infection and prescribed Amoxicillin (Old School 10-day) and said to use Flonase for my congestion but warned that the Anti-Biotic would take 48 hours at least to take effect and that the Flonase could take up to 4 days to work. She prescribed a cough suppressant pill but when we went to get it filled (at the CVS Pharmacy) the pharmacist said that it was a $40 co-pay and really wasn't worth it because I could find something cheaper over the counter. I won't be going back. There are plenty of other Urgent Care places around that I can try.
