  • So I got a severe cold while visiting Las Vegas (glad I didn't pick up anything worse than a cold...eh? eh?) Oh, Las Vegas..... Anyway. Although the place is a little run down (c'mon, off the strip, which place isn't right?), I was able to find the cold medicine, walk straight up to the register, check out, take my medicine (I took in in the car and pretended I was a Vegas addict gettin' his fix) then drive off to grab breakfast for the kiddos. Prices are decent (they didn't seem any higher than I'd expect to pay for cold and flu medicines). I like ANY store where I can find what I need, then get out. What I thought was really cool was, one day after Valentine's day, they had already marked down all of their Valentine's day candy and decorations down! How cool is that...you could seriously find a way to avoid your Valentine all day on Valentine's day, then mosey on into CVS, purchase discounted Valentine's goodies, take your Valentine out for "sorry it's late, but let's do something awesome first thing next morning" breakfast, and you'll save some dough doing it! Ok, maybe that's a terrible plan but hey, you'll thank me for the suggestion if you're ever stuck in that situation.
