| - I'm giving you full disclosure that I'm writing this review based on taste and authenticity from a comparative perspective because that's what I value as a Chinese gal that grew up on dim sum. Phoenix doesn't have a strong Chinese food game, let's be honest. If you want the most decent, closest to authentic dim sum in the area, this is the best place. I use to really like Phoenix Palace but ever since the time they shut down randomly, it hasn't been the same. C-Fu Gourmet has never been good. I went once and definitely didn't need to give it another chance. Someone in an earlier review mentioned how things are frozen and steamed here at Mekong. I won't make a generalized statement about that but clearly, they haven't been to the aforementioned dim sim places (Great Wall is decent but it's so far). Also, let me just say, I don't want to hate on Phoenix Palace because they were my one for many years but I have to give my loyalty to Mekong now. Variety of items are good, flavors are good, portions are good, prices are good. Service will always be terrible but that's not why I go, lol!
I have also been here for dinner numerous times. I once had a waiter say to me, "Ay ya, weren't you just here yesterday?" I responded with *shifty eyes*, "Maybe..." The waiter wasn't wrong. I'll save that review for another time.
