| - There's always something interesting to see in Las Vegas. The night BF and I went to Golden Steer, we saw a man pick up a streetwalker in the parking lot. The interesting part was that, the street walker was an old man and he was wearing pink leotard and pink tutu. I can't be certain but I think he also had a pink bow on his head. The whole incident took about 7 minutes and we couldn't stop staring! When the lovely "couple" drove away, we decided it was safe to get out of our car and walked towards the restaurant.
From the outside, the restaurant doesn't look like much but inside, it was really nice. I'm a sucker for ambiance and I really liked the old school and classy décor. All the servers were dressed in formal uniform and they were very attentive.
To start with, we shared a bowl of Lobster Bisque. It wasn't bad but it tasted slightly different from all other lobster bisque I've had before. It was smooth and creamy but on the heavier side and somehow it tasted a little tart (kind of like sour cream).
For entrée, BF had Petite Filet Mignon and I had Lil Cut Prime Rib. We both ordered medium and both meat came out perfect. The Prime Rib was HUGE and it was delicious especially with the freshly grated horseradish. As for the Filet Mignon, BF said he's had tastier piece for much less at other restaurants. I believe him; the man always gets Filet Mignon at any restaurant that has one on menu.
Overall, I'd rate this place 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the Prime Rib but the Lobster Bisque, not so much. Also, we saw two of their staff hanging out and taking cigarette break in front of the restaurant - one before dinner and another after dinner. I didn't expect that for this type of restaurant.
