Everyone and their mother seems to adore Cocomero, but in actuality it's so-so. The bubble teas are alright, and that's really the only thing I go there for. The times I go that I get convinced to have actual yoghurt I always end up walking away disappointed. The yoghurt is very low quality and often at a much higher temperature than it ought to be. The fruit toppings are low quality as well, and usually look a bit past their prime. They also never have raspberries, which I see as a serious failing in a frozen yoghurt place. I realize this is supposed to be self serve and a specific 'concept' and everything, but I really don't see the point, I'd rather have less choice and a higher quality product. Places like with so many choices you'll be driven into an epileptic shock seem to feed into the worst excesses of the American psyche. You think the drunk people dancing at Joe's or Cly's at 1:30 in the morning have lost all inhibitions, they've got nothing on the lack of self restraint people have when coming here. Also, I know a couple of people have commented here that this is better than anywhere in Chicago, but I have to wonder if these people have actually been to Chicago and aren't just confusing it with their mediocre suburb. I would take any Red Mango in the city or Evanston over this any day.
