Lots of history is tucked inside this local gem. And some really tasty eats too!
The Rowley Inn has been in business since 1906 and during the filming of A Christmas Story, it was THE place to be. The upstairs was even used for wardrobe and makeup.
It looks like a typical cozy dive bar, but thanks to the new owners, the menu offers up lots of not so typical dishes that will have you coming back for the food.
To get the word out, they hosted some local bloggers and invited us to try some of the menu items. My favorites were the shrimp cocktail, mac 'n cheese, the chicken club and the Clevelander burger. That bad boy includes pierogi, kielbasa, kraut, beer cheese, and Stadium mustard. Definitely tastes like Cleveland! I honestly have to say that I really enjoyed pretty much everything. The only thing I didn't care for were the fried pickles. They are beer battered and I prefer mine with traditional breading.
It's not the healthiest menu but it's really great for when you want something delicious and hearty. Try the brunch too. Dee-lish!
