  • Our family spent an amazing full day rafting the Upper Salt River north of Globe. From our online registration to the email thanking us for our business, Wilderness Aware is nothing but professional, helpful, informational and a well run organization. The directions and information packet sent prior to our trip was detailed and very useful. Check in was a breeze and they fitted us with wetsuits, splash jackets, booties and my helmet had a GoPro attachment! (I'd recommend calling ahead and reserving one of these special helmets! I was lucky to get the last one!) Our tour guide was John and he made this wonderful trip extra special. He was always calm, positive, encouraging and provided lots of geological information about our beautiful surroundings! Our hot lunch was delicious with the main dish of beef and chicken fajitas. We first used this company on a vacation in Colorado and the experience was just as impressive. When we told our Colorado guide we live in AZ but had never rafted the Salt, she told us it was one of her favorite places to guide and we can see why. Make sure and spend some time admiring our beautiful state and let Wilderness Aware be your go to rafting company!
