  • I've been to all of Toronto's attractions, and have been a member of the Toronto Zoo for the last 2 years as I go a lot, a lot a lot. First of all, I need to talk about our experience with the service. We had to come in late so (if you buy online, you have to choose a time slot to enter) we called the aquarium to ask if this was OK. Took a while to actually go through, but when we did, the lady told us it as "near impossible" to get in, that I would be in line for hours, and spoke to us as if we broke a grave rule and exaggerated how bad it was for us to have to come in late. When we arrived, turns out it doesn't matter what time slot you choose! You go through the ticket holders line, which we were told by the employees would be an approximately 45 minute wait, but turns out it was less than 15 minutes. The wait to buy tickets at the door was a 1.5 hour wait. Ouch. I saw people line up for the ticket holders line, and try to buy the ticket online while in line but apparently it can take a few hours for them to send you the actual ticket after you pay for it. Went on a Sunday and the aquarium was PACKED. WAY too many people in it but I suppose it just opened. There are many small corridors and too many people with their strollers trying to leave and enter and see everything. Other than that the displays are awesome. They really are beautiful. Despite the amount of people you do get a fair chance to see and experience everything. It is a definite must see, even if you have been to the Zoo and go as much as I do. It's an amazing thing to see a bunch of huge sharks rest on the roof of the tunnel as you pass underneath it. The $30 price tag is very fair. Seeing the 'Dangerous Lagoon' portion is a unique experience that is well worth it. I'm definitely going again when the crowds die down! Other than the little bit about the bad service earlier, I should also mention that the coral reef section contained surprisingly very little live coral. Almost all of it was just painted decorations.
