| - A group of work friends decided to meet for drinks, and this is where we ended up. Why? Its conveniently close to the office. Again? Methinks not.
The Jason George is your typical neighbourhood pub in every way, from the decor, to the service and food. Except for the fact that its in a prime tourist location, so they feel like they can jack their prices for subpar pub fare.
Pints were almost $7, I wasn't drinking anything too high end of exclusive (Blanche De Chamblay). Mixed drinks were $6.
We ordered food. If you happen to be here, don't bother. No better than Caseys. Had a turkey grilled cheese with a side salad. Not very good, too much butter (yes, its possible), rubbery cold cut turkey. Side salad was typical mixed greens, unripe tomatoes. Other ordered appetizers, the calamari was over-battered, very greasy, deep friend pickes the same.
Verdict. Don't stop. Keep walking. Go to Betty's around the corner.
