| - Update to my review. The first day I used the purse they repaired, the same handle broke again. I then looked at the other ends of the handle and they were coming apart too. When I took it in to have it fixed the guy in the back who does the repairs specifically told me " I can fix it better than what it was, but I will have to fix all 4 handle parts so I can cut them and make them all the same size." I said no problem, I just wanted to be able to have the purse repaired.
I called the shop on Friday after 4 and told the owner the situation. He asked me to bring it in, so they could fix it. I told him I would come in on Saturday, since I wouldn't make it before they closed Friday.
I was upset, but decided not to take the shoe back and show him with the purse, because it was my fault for not noticing when I picked it up and I really didn't want them playing with my $70.00 pair of Nike's again.
Arrive around 12 today and the owner is not in. There is a teenager boy at the counter (very nice) and says he knew about the purse and he would fix it. The owner was gone till Monday. As I am showing the kid my purse the guy from the back who does the fixing came forward and saw the purse. I showed him how parts of the handle were now coming apart that weren't even coming apart before I brought it to him. He was rude and bothered by us and didn't care at all. He says the the boy in Spanish "It just cardboard, give them their $ back." I was so offended. I didn't drive all the way across town to get my $ back, I wanted my purse fixed. Plus, he was trying to offend me saying my purse was cheap; maybe it was or is, but hey it is mine, not yours. At this point, I get heated and bring up the shoe and what he did. His response "well you should have brought it to show me. " I responded with well I have pictures from my Yelp review." He didn't have anything to say after that and repeated to give me my $ back then he took off to the back leaving an under age kid upfront with 2 upset adults. That is crap. Handle your own business don't put a child to clean up your mess.
We apologized to the kid, telling him it was not his fault, but we wanted him to relay the crappy job and crappy customer service the guy in the back illustrated.
All of you can clearly see the sign on the front window under their name "Best Shoe Repair." That says "We Honor Our Name." Clearly they do not. I did not return with the intent to be rude, or get my $ back. The guy in the back knows he sucks and cannot do it right and wanted to hide his incapability with anger towards us.
I am pretty sure this place is a fire code hazard with the way there is crap everywhere.
