| - So my advice is just to get the season pass, because with three or four trips it will pay for itself and you can go ALL year long. SERIOUSLY?! No brain-er!! Also, if you want to try it out for the day, and decide you want a pass at the end of the day you can upgrade your ticket to a pass. Only catch is I think it has to be in the same day. You have to do a whole picture deal and stuff so HONESTLY, I would do it BEFORE you get all sweaty and gross. HAHAHAHHA!!
Price & Activities - SERIOUSLY, I could spend all day here! My fiance and I would come early afternoon and spend ALL day. We would rock climb, eco cache, zip line, biking and OF COURSE we would go rafting. It was a fun place to be outdoors and work out without feeling like you were working out. I tried a lot of firsts here...first time rafting, first time zip lining, first time rock climbing, first time eco caching... It's like a haven for fun outdoorsy things!! I miss it and look for places like this every where I live, because it's all in one.
Customer Service - Honestly when we lived in Charlotte, we went so much that we had favorite guides and people knew us so customer service was never an issue. In fact, the owner would come out frequently and check everyone out to make sure they were doing their jobs. It seemed like a family environment. Oh and please guys, if you do a rafting trip or rock climbing, make sure that you tip your guides! It doesn't have to be a ton, but you know a little something would be nice. I normally try to stick with one guide all day and request that guide so I can give him/her a nice little something at the end but I've also split it up at the end of my day and just wrote down everyone's name in the yellow envelopes that are provided.
Events - THEY HAVE AWESOME EVENTS! From Microbrews Cruise to family friendly July 4th events & Whitewater River Jams and they are serious top notch awesome!! :) Not all of them cost money, like the July 4th event & Whitewater River Jams are free for everyone so all you would have to pay for is the parking. Um, AWESOME! :)
Food - I really like the food here. The homemade chips with ranch are DELICIOUS!! The food isn't like just burgers and fries, but you can tell there is some effort. I think in the market they have sushi and drinks and it was like a little convenience store, and in the restaurant it has more sit down foods. I remember it being more hand held foods like pulled pork sandwiches and stuff, but it was all very fancy and well thought out in flavors and for a foodie yelper...it's kinda awesome. It boasts an AWESOME beer menu. I think for large events, they have a beer bar outside and sell them in buckets and that's just fine with me. Cold beer after working your rear off rafting is just what the doctor ordered! :)
All in all, I am sad I am not in Charlotte, because of this place. Going down some class four rapids and being with nature really melts away stress. If you are thinking about coming here, JUST DO IT! Put on your tennis shoes, because USWC is calling you! :)
