I'm giving BB 3 stars but it's a gift, believe me. When my wife and I went to BB in Tampa, Florida back in March 2016, it was a super-awesome experience. The restaurant was superb, as was the food and service. This BB has A LOT to learn from the one in Tampa. Best way to do this review is the good and the bad. Nothing was truly ugly, but a couple of things were close to not being able to get a date to the prom.
The good:
Plenty of parking
Told us 30-minute wait but sat us in 15
Food was decent
Service was decent
Manager came to the table to follow up on an issue
The bad:
Called at 5pm to make a reservation for 6pm and was told
all reservations must be at least 2 hours in advance -- shitty policy.
I thought the people who work at the host/hostess station could have
been way more friendly and receptive. Instead they don't even say
hello or greet you. No eye contact. They seemed more interested in
talking to each other than with the customers.
I ordered a pina colada. First one was not what I ordered. Second one
was a pina colada and it was HORRIBLE. Even my wife said ICK.
My wife ordered the chips and only got 1 type of chip when
it says 2 types of chips.
My wife ordered a dinner that is supposed to have edamame in it
but they did not put it in there.
We're not picky people or hard to please. We're usually pretty easy going.
But c'mon people, this restaurant should serve the dishes as described and not
forget to include parts of it -- FOR TWO DISHES WE ORDERED.
And wow, learn how to make a good pina colada. It's not rocket science, I promise.
The 2-hour rule for reservations is a corporate policy for all the BB's, so it isn't the
restaurant's fault per se -- but it still stinks.
We traveled 35-40 minutes to get to this restaurant. While we wouldn't say the experience was terrible, we can say that it wasn't good enough that we would come back. There's a lot of room for improvement.
