  • I've lived in Toronto for almost all of my life, and never have I been more excited to try anything in the city. I came here with some friends and my boyfriend, who had been visiting from British Columbia, Arizona, and California, respectively. At a cost of $195.00 + 13% HST, you get to participate in the highest external building walk in the world. Included in your post-experience package is a video DVD of your experience (taped as you walk), 2 professional photographs (1 individual picture, and 1 as a group), and last but not least, a certificate of your participant number that indicates that you have become part of the Guiness Book of World Records. After your walk, you can use those same tickets to get an express pass to go up the CN tower, see the glass floor and use the skypod (yes - you can bypass those ridiculously long lines that you see going INTO the CN tower). Like many other reviews prior to mine have stated - yes, there are a TON of safety checks leading up to your walk that can be really exhaustive; but hey, better safe than sorry, right? Please note that they will also ask you to perform a breathalyzer test before suiting up - so don't drink too much. My friends and I actually had a drink with lunch right before, not knowing we'd be asked to perform one. Thank god, no one took it upon themselves to drink themselves silly. Other safety tips...make sure you don't wear any jewelry of any kind - you're required to take them off. Also, if you walk with too much luggage, there are also lockers where you can lock your things away. You do not need your own locks - they are provided. We were taken up by a guide named Jenny. She was extremely animated, and really fun to be around. She took us through different types of tricks before actually walking the perimeter of the tower. My only regret or form of criticism, was that the walk would have been a little more exciting if we were able to lean back off the edge AND walk at the same time, rather than only being taught to lean back. I understand that this is a little more dangerous, but would have been exciting for more thrill-seeking individuals. I highly encourage participants to spend the $20-25.00 to get the full USB of all photos from the experience. We actually got some great shots, and photo quality was great.
