ONE star for cold breakfast food that has the potential to be much better.
The two of us took the open seats at the bar counter because the wait time for other tables was a usual 20 minutes (no, not long but we were on a schedule today so we needed to get in and out fairly quickly). As other reviewers recently posted, I'm not sure why there was much of a wait at all since there were 6 others tables open to seat customers. Strange.
We waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out only to be significantly disappointed by what we bit into. Neither of our Benedicts were even lukewarm and the bacon that is "raved" about was certainly nothing special. If you are going to feature a specialty item such as a bacon tasting board it better be something memorable! This was anything but that- very lightly flavored and pretty thin. We both said to each other that our food would have been great if it were hot. It's a shame- these foodies won't be back and certainly won't recommend Oink.
Ours weren't the only gripes- we overheard the staff quietly noting how many complaints there were today. I just don't get it. Breakfast is the easiest meal to cook. Management needs to get this place together!!!
Also was quite turned off by one of the back-of-the-house fellas that frequented the front bar area with a cigarette hanging behind the ear- SOO unappealing. What if that fell in someone's food!?!!
Noting that although we had an unfortunate experience, we appreciated that management took our concerns seriously. Thank you for that.
