| - Visited today for Sunday brunch(party of 2)....Had a reservation, seated right away, were given our choice of seating area..We chose the back room(?) with all the fleur-de-lis pictures on the wall..There was a slight "odor" in the air, most likely from the mop water but soon forgot about it once the food came..Our server was Erin(correct spelling?) and he was very good in explaining the Brunch menu, etc..We didn't order adult beverages so I can't comment on the bar..We decided to go with the large order of the fried oysters and the barbecue shrimp and a bowl of of seafood gumbo... not bad but nothing special...would not order in the future...But the fried oysters, WOW!! can definitely say they are some of if not the best we ever had!! Huge, perfect amount of breading, juicy and so tasty!! The barbecue shrimp were just about as good, sopped up every drop of broth with the complimentary bread(warm rolls) provided..And for dessert if you may, Beignets !! They looked great, and tasted just as great , still hot from the fryer with a perfect dusting of powered sugar and a strawberry compote(jam?) dipping sauce..Delicious!! On the way out, we both used the restrooms(madame and monsieur) and both very clean ..And a big bonus, dined with a groupon..I definitely recommend the Cajun Queen and will be back, hopefully for dinner to catch the live jazz band playing there nightly..
