  • NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!! I REPEAT NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!! PLEASE READ MY STORY!!! Let me explain. I went in a couple days ago to get some sunglasses. I ended up purchasing 2 pairs of sun glasses and 1 pair of reading glasses. This place is extremely expensive and my total was $2,736.53. Since this place is not up to date with technology - transactions and receipts are all done by hand... and this is why that is a problem. My American Express was charged $27,365.32! Yes. You read that correctly!!!!! I left the store- 30 minutes later Michelle Torre called me and told me she had messed up and asked me to come back. I did not have enough time to do that as I had already left the quarter. Michelle asked for my credit card information And ran my Amex AGAIN for $2,736.53 and said the other charge would drop off immediately and Michelle would text me the canceled transaction and the new receipt. I never received anything that day ( Saturday.) So of course first thing Sunday I checked my account. And now I have over $30,000.00 in charges on my card from Paris Optique - so I called as soon as they opened and asked for Michelle. Michelle told me she had canceled it and texted me the information. I proceeded to tell Michelle that I had not received ANYTHING. Michelle's response was. Well it says the message was delivered on my phone as Michelle was supposedly messaging me from her personal phone. Well. I have the iPhone 10 and if it says sent on her phone... I would have had a message on my phone. So I called BS. I asked Michelle to email Me a picture of the sent text message as well as receipts. I received an email a little bit later of the receipts but of course no picture of the sent text message Michelle said she had sent the day before. So exactly what I had thought. BS. So let's fast forward to today. Which is now over 48 hours after I was charged over $30,000.00 for two pairs of sunglasses and one pair of reading glasses... I checked my online account and of course the charge was still there so I called Amex. They told me the charge was still there and had no information of a canceled charge but I could file a claim with them (Amex). Sooooo I called this piece of shit store back YET AGAIN. Asked to speak to Michelle Torre... told Michelle the charge is still there and Amex does not have a canceled charge on their behalf so Michelle tells me she's going to call her merchant or something like that and call me back. I told Michelle I needed a 10% discount because stuff like this should NEVER happen and this has now gone on 3 days. (I'm also In my first trimester of pregnancy and major stress like this could Cause me to miscarry my child.) So. Here I am. It's almost 4 pm. And Michelle just called back. Michelle had the uplifting news that she has no answers for me and I should call Amex again as she can't get any information on the situation. Oh. And to top it off they will Not refund me 10% but they will take $40.00. Yes you read that correctly... $40.00!!!! off of my prescription lenses for my new reading glasses... and to add the cherry to the top.... the price they quoted me on the prescription lenses while I was in the store was SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO high I declined it and said I will go elsewhere. It was over $400.00 with tax to do prescription lenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is absurd!!!!! And I don't have a crazy prescription at all! There are a million places to get sunglasses. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would hate for anyone to go through what has happened to me..... and yes. The charge is still on my account! Thank goodness Amex is awesome about stuff like this and will take care of it. It has been four days and the charge is still there. Now I get to file a claim with Amex and have them fight it. I just updated this review as she said the charge would be gone 2 days ago. I also updated the picture so you can see how many days this charge has been on my account.
