  • It is very disheartening when you have frequented a place and years and then have to find a new doctor. I always have shown up to appointment early and then have had to sit and wait for 30-60 minutes after my appointment time to be ushered into the back room. Once in the back office, there was always another waiting period of 15-20 minutes just for the doctor to come in and spend 5 minutes with you. Let me mention also that they only make appointments 4 months out....not helpful if you are dealing with skin cancer issues. On this particular day I was running late for an appointment due to a work meeting. I called as soon as I was out of my meeting (10 min past my appointment) and let them know I was 4 minutes away....I work right around the corner from their office so it was very convenient. I was told not to bother coming in and they would not be able to see me until February!!! I understand that I was showing up late for an appointment but how can an office that is constantly 30-60 minutes late for appointments fault a patient for being late one time?!?! When I told the person on the phone that I had reoccurring spots, I was previously treated for skin cancer, she said sorry but there was nothing they could do. I have gone to other doctors and once you are an ESTABLISHED patient, they work with you. This was not my first time with this office, as I was an established patient, but now I will be looking for a new dermatologist. If you choose to go here, make sure you plan on an extra 30-60 minutes of waiting time past your appointment, but don't you dare try to show up late for your appointment time. In addition, if you are going expecting to see Dr. Romaine, don't bother. Over all my appointments, I have only seen her once and then have been handed off to practitioners.
