  • If you are considering Desired Physiques please read: I joined the gym about a year ago, had numerous billing problems which they blamed on their outside billing service. No real explanation or apology for double billing and service charges was ever given. Recently the gym shut down for 4 days without notice. Then we find out on the news that the owners home and the gym were raided by federal agents and the owner was arrested on federal charges concerning a DEA steroids investigation. The news also named the GM, Kanisha,as being indicted. There are also rumors of her having 3 prior arrest in CA for check fraud and idenity theft. Several posts on the gym Facebook page indicated that people would be let out of their contracts, (since deleted) when we tried to cancel they wanted us to sign more paperwork and agree to pay another 30 days. Even though we paid first and last months fees when we joined. People who don't want to be associated with this gym and an ongoing federal indictment that the DEA said is a "hotbed for illegal steroid sales" are being punished by not being allowed out of their contract. I have no idea how the court case will turn out nor do I have an opinion of anyone's guilt or innocence but I don't want my information associated with this gym any longer and they are making it as difficult as possible to separate myself.
