  • 4 2 18 @ 1 PM 3711 West Deer Valley Road Phoenix, AZ 85308 Free Saturday at the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve Free Admission - 3rd Saturday of the Month April 21, 2018 9am - 3:45pm We got there and the tour was interesting. The admission price was definitely right but the temps made the visit a little too hot for going too far. Had a hard time finding it as my gps kept saying I have arrived and I was not there. The sign at the fork of the road REALLY NEEDS TO BE BIGGER so you don't miss it and drive around and round on 39th Ave and Deer Valley Road. The people there were very helpful and nice but the gift shop needs LOTS of work. The Tee shirts were cheap but I would not want one for free. The rest of the stuff was very expensive ($10 for a magnet). Evidently the preserve was closed for renovation for 18 months and with the summer coming and the temps going up they are waiting till fall to restock the gift shop. Will return when temps are cooler.
