| - ***This review is based on my experience as an online BSN student***
For those of you considering enrolling with GCU for your BSN, choosing this school was the best idea. I was previously with Sacred heart University (located in CT), and that wasn't the greatest experience. After extensive research and speaking with counselors from different universities, this school stuck out the most. The admissions counselor was great. She wasn't pushy at all (unlike most online schools). She helped me through the process of getting all the required materials. In about a week after being accepted into the program, I received my entire class schedule, all of my e-textbooks for the program, and financial aid. The online environment has been the best and is not a BlackBoard platform, it's LoudCloud. It was very easy to navigate. The professors have been helpful, easy to get a hold of, and knowledgeable at what subjects they teach. In about 9 months (because I double up on 2 classes), I completed my BSN with GCU. Best decision I ever made.
(Side note: I'm no stranger to the online classroom environment. I have been taking classes since before I was a nurse (2005) so I'm pretty familiar of how it works. For those of you who haven't experienced it, I would
Go with this school because everyone is very helpful to new students.)
