  • If I could give this "hospital" 0 stars I would. My cat was sick outside of normal vet hours so we rushed her to this place. We were "greeted" with a very uncaring receptionist who before we could even express our distress told us it will be $75 upfront just to be seen. I should have known this wasn't a great place when she cared more about the money than the cat, but we were already there so we stayed to see the doctor. I understand all vets charge a fee to be seen but the way this was handled was unacceptable. I inquired about some bad reviews I read about while in the waiting room (because she couldn't figure out how to use the cc machine) and she stated oh I don't know about that I'm sure it's a mistake. After being put in a room the doctor came in and told us he had to take the cat away (which is normal procedure) and that he would come back with an action plan of what to do next. We heard cats crying when he opened the door. 5 minutes later he returned giving us a ridiculously long list of what (according to him) we absolutely had to have done just to start. The list totaled over $1000. They included the $75 we already paid and when I inquired about it they said "Oh it was a mistake." It can't be a mistake since they don't even see you without that fee. I'm sure they were hoping we didn't notice so they could double charge us. I felt like it was too much money for a diagnosis and called another emergency vet on Tropicana and Durango. They were amazing on the phone and told us we were being ripped off. We promptly ate the $75 initial fee, grabbed our cat, and drove back across town to the other hospital. This vet didn't even care. The other vet was amazing. An X-ray, blood work, medicine, emergency visit, and meds to take home totaled less than half of what they wanted to charge me here just for diagnostics. When I gave them the list from here they told me most of this was unnecessary and would have served no purpose. They often get people coming from this vet who have been ripped off or given poor care. DO NOT EVER TRUST THEM! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY AND NOT YOUR PET! This was the vet given by my vet on the emergency line and after I talked to the owner of my vet's office and told them how horrible they are, they no longer recommend them to their patients. I hope this place gets shut down before more animals die and more people lose their life savings.
