| - So first let's address the embarrassment that I didn't go with my gut to begin with and choose Sunburst. They not only saved us after a regrettable nightmare, they never made us feel bad for not going with them to begin with.
I meekly made the call of shame to the office and spoke with George (who seems to be a real nice guy and was so understanding) to see if they still had our information. I asked if the quote was still accurate since it had been a while (3+ months dealing with the mess we had gotten ourselves into) and honorable in the event we had sale prices etc. He was so nice and said it shouldn't be a problem and offered to have the rep come right back out asap.
Originally we had several bids (5 or more, I tried to do my research). Most companies/reps were nice (aside from pressure and jabbing competitors) and of course numbers and opinions about materials, manufacturers and origins were all over the place. Of the companies that came over and gave estimates, I immediately appreciated Rob's approach because he was knowledgeable, professional and friendly enough but not at all high pressure like others.
Short story is......... (You can skip this part and just get the point to go with Sunburst haha) we had another company in our home for another service and learned they did shutters as well. We went with them because they sold us on their quote (and their USA materials, mills, plant etc., and high end product, none of which were the case. I have pictures of both installed product and the boxes that didn't come from the U.S. Or the manufacturer quoted) and while they tried hard to rectify the problems, they just couldn't. We were tangled up with them for 4 months, multiple appointments and reorder/install with random people. We never did get our bypass slider installed or other issues resolved and it got to a point where it was just too much after having sheets tacked up and random people in our home all subbed out to continue.
So here's the part to pay attention to I promise! I called Sunburst back and George had Rob come right back out. Rob was personable and patient, addressed all our concerns. He explained product, shutter configurations for areas we had (engineering so no sagging etc) and options and hooked us right up. We had new custom shutters in about 3 weeks. The installers showed up in an actual marked company vehicle (don't want to bore you with details of our other situation), polite and professional. Our installers, Ryan and Blair (sp?) were efficient and professional. They were patient and understood our situation and cared about getting it right. They answered questions and explains things and even had me open and close everything to make sure it operated correctly. It was just So crazy because I was so stressed out I couldn't even be excited because of what had happened with the other company. I would definitely recommend Sunburst and intend to use them again.
I'm happy to report Sunburst gave us our happy ending. My husband and I both keep saying who knew how simple it should have been. We are very satisfied and definitely recommend Sunburst. I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with them but I have the impression if something did go wrong, their customer service would be on point.
