My gf and I did our date night here and have never eaten at a creole place before. Our waitress Megan was very attentive and even went as far as bringing a sample of the creole sauce out to taste it to see if I'd like it. I didn't request that, I simply had some questions about the sauce while ordering and she took the initiative in bringing a sample out to be sure I'd like it. She was great!
The food came out and we ordered a deep fried soft shell crab which was good to share. We also shared a bowl of gumbo which was very delicious. Our entres were both very good (Shrimp creole & Shrimp n Grits). Finally desert came (bananas foster) which was just OK. Def not the best I've had - plain Jane desert, wish we would have ordered the seasonal Apple bread pudding instead.
One of the girls clearing our plates was on the phone talking which was a little rude and we sat near the kitchen wall and every few minutes someone was poking there head out and we were the only ones in sight of them so that was starting to get old - them popping their heads out and locking eyes every time.
4 out of 5 stars - overall was a good change up for date night and would probably recommend it to a friend looking for a smaller portioned menu with a slightly different menu in a quant place.
