| - We stopped here on a weekday afternoon because it didn't look too busy and we wanted a place that had burgers. First off, we either had a brand new waiter or this guy was checked out because he was AWFUL. He would tell us the wrong pricing for the catch of the day, he didn't know any of the beers on tap off the top of his head, and he mixed up everybody's bill at the end! They really need to step up there service here. I understand if you are new, and you can't remember all the different beers on tap, but you have to solve the problem by saying you will find out the answer. This waiter would just keep bringing the hostess to our table so that she could tell us about the beers on tap or what was on the menu. Or another time when all he could tell us about a cheese on a burger was that it was yellow. Yup, a yellow cheese. Plus I saw this waiter sitting and hanging out with friends at another table while we were ordering food! Simply unacceptable.
But anyways, we started off with a giant pretzel for the appetizer and it was quite good! Huge pretzel that is easy to share with everyone. I ended up getting the Juicy Lucy (~$14) which is a beef burger topped with bacon, provolone, jalapenos, and chipotle mayo. It was very good! The food was actually pretty tasty. Just terrible service, which caused me to rate it a 3/5.
Pros:
- large menu that has more than just southern food
- tasty burgers
- seasonal menu for Oktoberfest (get the giant pretzel!)
Cons:
- terrible service (or at least terrible waiter)
Why I gave it a 3....
Mainly because of how bad our waiter was. Besides that, the food was pretty good. We all enjoyed our meals. I just wish our waiter would have tried to know what was on the menu and I wish he didn't hang out at another table during the middle of the busy lunch service.
