| - Doing Spring Cleaning early, I took some things in to try consignment. I spoke to the store on the phone, who said it was a small store. This statement was reiterated when I came in. I brought in another dress and a couple tops, and 3 were accepted. I didn't have any credit on the books but was told that they items have only been there 30 days. I received a call sometime later that the owner rejected the items and I should come and pick them up. Now I have to use some more gas to go back and pick up the rejecteds. So I did and met the owner, Nicole. This situation left a bad taste in my mouth, as I had taken items to My Sister's Closet some time back and they accepted what they wanted and that was that, they didn't need a secondary approval. I decided that consigning here was not for me. Also, everyone I met at the store kept saying it was "a small store". Ok got it. Maybe I should have listened what was really being said. Nicole to her credit helped me retrieve the dresses I brought in a month earlier, sometimes it takes longer for an item to sell. The prices of items here are higher than at other consignment shops. Despite My Sister's buyers sometimes copping an attitude, they did accept my dresses and one sold in 10 days there. I agree with another reviewer that Nicole is quite "protective" of her business and consignors, that she has "many" consignors, here it's just not for me.
