This was my only experience at Harvest. I was excited because of full flavors from locally raised farm to table experience I've heard so much about. They did not deliver. It was restaurant week so the menu was limited, but included 3 courses.
To start I order the Waldorf Salad my wife got the mixed greens. Her salad was great and fresh. She really liked it. I found the dressing a bit heavy on the mayo. My Waldorf was just a pile of sliced apples covered in apple cider vinaigrette, plus a (1) halved grape and some celery.
For the entree I ordered the pork shoulder. The was dried, shredded pork shoulder packed into a square and broiled. The pineapple lime sauce was very acidic, heavy on the lime light on the actual flavor. Very salty. The server asked how the first bites were I said I wasn't too sure. She said ok and walked away. I took a few more bites and sent it back. I got the chicken. It was ok the gravy was a bit bland, the chicken was a bit bland, the exterior was crispy. The biscuit would have been great if it was fresh. The biscuit tasted a bit day old.
The star was the chocolate cup cake. I guess it's fancy to put the frosting spread out on the plate rather than the cupcake, other that it was good. It wasn't great, but it was the highlight.
I guess it's just not for me.
