  • I needed cupcakes for my son's birthday. Just a little something for the day of until his party on the weekend. I couldn't find anywhere nearby in Markham that i could get to that had nut free options. I did a quick Google search for best place in Mississauga to get cupcakes and i found Swirls! Bonus that the shop is less than 15 min from my hubby's office. ! I was a bit skeptical, because, well...when it come to cupcakes i'm picky!! Plus i have my go to places in Vaughan & Midtown. Now i have a 3rd option :o) I called ahead to find out if they had the selections i was looking for since it was going to be for a same day walk in order. The person i spoke to was helpful and was more than happy to go through my list of 4-5 choices (that i found on their website). She also mentioned to me that later on in the week towards the evening options may be limited (good idea to call ahead!!). Some of the flavours we tried in the dozen we bought: Red Velvet - classic! Hubby loves Red Velvet and thought it was one of the best he's tried! Cheeky Monkey - banana & chocolate Caramel Latte - soooo good with a coffee! Raspberry Beret Charming Hostess Chocolate Therapy - chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream The buttercream was so light, fluffy & airy - almost like a mousse consistency. Cupcake was super moist and fresh. They were a huge hit with the birthday boy & our daughter. They have a full list of flavours on their website along with the days of the week they are made/available. Looking forward to trying out a few more flavours of their cupcakes. They also do custom cake orders & have a selection of cakes for birthdays, special events etc. Very helpful website with flavours, cake sizes & pricing so you can even place your order online. It's a good idea to call ahead to place an order like you would at any other bakery - especially if you're looking for a specific item.
