  • On 9/21 my Husband & I went to have blood drawn at LabCorp in Fountain Hills - next door to my doctor. We both asked the woman at check in IS OUR INSURANCE ACCEPTED??? She said "We are a contracted provider for your Medicare HMO Advantage plan". I asked her to recheck to be sure since I know half contract with LC & the other half with Sonora Quest. She said over & over again that they accept my insurance. So a great gal draws our blood & the experience is good... UNTIL - I hear from my insurance company that they are NOT contracted with LabCorp and I will be denied/ SO the incompetent woman had asked that we sign agreeing to pay any co-payments that may be our responsibility and now I hear we will owe for the entire bill for us both! They get you in there with words that make you believe one thing - and they aren't accountable for their errors. We can not pay $600 and shouldn't have to based on their error. AZ is not known for competent workers in healthcare and it does trickle down to ancillary services too. ASK QUESTIONS and ask for a Manager before letting them stick you.
