I've been coming here for over ten years. I know what this place is like at 5-8pm - it's a madhouse. I changed to a different time of day (I won't say when because I don't want others to get the same idea) and am very happy to come in 4-5 times a week.
Typically they hire front desk staff with no personality or social skills. One girl sat there checking people in for two years and I never heard her voice, not once. Another young hip-hop kind of dude treated older folks with little respect - everyone was "Yo, Boss" to him. Alas, these are the times we live in.
MJ is the very best and should get an Employee of the Year award. She makes you feel welcome and treats members like her own family. She's a keeper. Are you reading this, Mr Manager?
The machines could be cleaner and better maintained, but it must be hard to keep up because most gym rats treat the equipment like it belongs to someone else, which it does, but how about a little consideration for the next guy?
They have plenty of parking, but some people circle the lot several times and wait for a spot closest to the front door. What the hell? If you are doing that, you cannot be serious about working out!!
