  • We already knew Grist House makes amazing beers - love their Fire on the Hill IPA. They are available at other local taps on occasion. Finally made it to Millvale to the brewery & even though they were out of my favorite beer, they still had plenty to make us really happy! Kind of a gritty, industrial space with block walls & pretty wide open to the outdoors. Food truck in the parking lot, many people outside at the picnic benches on the gravel lot & inside with their puppies - what's not to like?? Ashley behind the bar explained that the 67° February day yesterday brought crowds that took all their reserves, including my beloved Fire on the Hill. So we sampled a lot and found others we loved. Hop Yeti, Camp Slap Red & most surprisingly The Gristly Brown all won us over. All the gals behind the bar were knowledgeable, enthusiastic & quick with another sample of something fun to try. Their beer is soooo good!! Looking forward to bringing our daughter's dogs with us the next time they visit!
