I have had California AAA Roadside for 13 years. I had checked their insurances rates before but they never compared to my current policy until recently when State Farm's rates increased so I went to the office and signed up. I was told by the agent that she would fax my cancellation letter to State Farm. I called my State Farm agent the following day and he had not received the fax. I then called customer service and they, not my agent, faxed over the cancellation form. Soon after I confirmed that it had been received. On top of that I signed up for SMARTtrek for the additional discounts. The agent told me that my CA account would transfer over to a NV account. What she failed to tell me was this would not take place until my renewal was due in mid 2017. So now because my accounts won't link I have zero online access related to anything to do with my account until that time. So if I happen to get an alert I will be notified by email and have to call to find out what it is.
The day I signed up for this policy the agent was celebrating her 25th anniversary with the company, so maybe her mind was elsewhere but as a customer these are not issues I should have had to waste my time calling to get answers to and dealing with customer service. I have since transferred my account to a different agent.
