  • Where does one begin with this stay? We arrived to town around 5:30 am after driving 24 hours. We were exhausted. We had called earlier in the day to inquire about an early check in and we were told that it would be available pretty much any time as long as rooms were available. So once we arrived to town we called hoping to catch a couple hours of sleep before seeing our family for Thanksgiving dinner. The man at the front desk was not at all accommodating and wanted to charge us for a full night rate and that rate was higher than we had booked our room for originally. I told him I absolutely would not pay that price and begged for the early check in. He said no. We ended up sleeping in our van in a parking lot for a few hours until we could call and attempt early check in later. When we called again it was so we could shower and clean up before dinner. Now they extended the time out that we could "early check in" and it was going to make us late for Thanksgiving dinner. When we finally got checked in for the night, they charged us an additional $25 a night for incidentals. This was not advertised! We got to the room and the A/C was broken. We packed up all of our belongings and moved rooms, but not before being given the third degree on the usage of the room the 3 minutes we were there. The new room was dirty. The counters were dirty as well as the bathroom floor. A party must have been had in the room with the amount of bottle caps that were found under the bed. Hair in the sink....gross! The blow dryer sounded like it was going to take off and smelled like it was on fire, let alone not doing its job. The television did not work. Then the free WiFi was a JOKE!!! They gave us a password to get connected, but it never asked for the password. We were not able to go to a single website. I went to the front desk and expressed my concern. I was offered a key to another room so I could blow dry my hair. He also asked if it was okay to repair the blow dryer and TV while we were gone. I told him that was fine and he radioed for maintenance. However, upon returning after a long day, nothing was done as promised and my room key didn't even work!!! I'm glad we were in town for something way more important because the stay at the hotel would have pushed me over the edge.
