| - Crown is the only club on the strip that plays Hip-Hop and R&B and caters to the urban (ethnic) clientele. My expectations for them are high, in their first year they took the lessons that they learned from past urban club failures in Las Vegas and used them to change, elevate, and dominate urban nightlife in Sin City.
PLUS:
*I am cool with the wristbands that are given to members of a comp'ed party to access our table.
*The bottle comp prices are reasonable when you consider that at least 6 people are getting into the club FREE.
*The club itself is spacious.
*The Hot 97.5 and guest DJ's keep the dance floor packed. As roomy as it, there is never a song played that doesn't have the whole club rockin' and bouncin'.
*Even those who don't have a table and aren't VIP can find a quaint spot to rest their feet and socialize in without being bumped.
*Impressive is the cleanliness of the ladies restroom. There weren't any unsavory odors or unsightly messes in the stalls and they paid attention to keep it stocked.
*The bartenders and waitresses were 100% on point with the quality of service that they provided. The drinks weren't watered down and service was prompt at the bar.
*They do make every attempt to keep their party-goers safe and handle conflicts swiftly. Their partnership with Metro and proactive security team ensure that minor disagreements don't have a chance to escalate.
*Depending on the time you arrive, your wait in line can be up to 45 min. Get your girls together and be early. The line is bananas after midnight.
*If you call ahead to get on the guest list, that knocks the price down from $30 to $15.
*There is MAD LOVE for local ladies, remember to dress to impress.
*If you win a table you have to check in with Rich then wait in the general admission line with your party and you will be taken care of.
*It must be noted that when you are comp'ed a table that you are not guaranteed to keep it all night. It's not personal, it's business.
*If you win a table for 6 to 10 people, while it may be reasonable to expect your entire party to be seated at the same time, chances are you will not.
*You get your comp bottle (FREE) and are allowed to buy only one (1) bottle. Once your second bottle is consumed your party will not be given access back to the table. Remember paying customers will be accommodated only AFTER you were CROWNED and receive the ROYAL TREATMENT.
*Their security and door staff can be unprofessional and at times rude. It could use more organization to keep the chaos and confusion to a minimum. It is all about COMMUNICATION.
*They have had their fair share of drama and violence (fights over females and bruised egos). There is no excuse for that type of nonsense in an "upscale" establishment. However, they ARE NOT responsible for the actions of ADULTS. *The hood-rat and hoodlum crowd is not intended to be the patron of this establishment. They turn those away who do not accurately represent their nightclub, either by attitude or style of dress.
SUGGESTIONS:
*Comp's and VIP's should skip the line and enter separately. I do understand that with that the high volume of people
SHOUT-OUT:
They are fully aware that the people who win their comp's by simply liking their statuses on Facebook and in the near future, on Twitter are their loyal customers and they do a superb job of reaching out to them, keeping them interested, and CROWING them weekly. Their locals are Crown heads and spread the word that IT GOES DOWN AT CROWN. They are the unofficial street team, we keep talking it up because ROYALTY LOYALTY is what drives their immense success. These are the people who are rocking with Crown through their growing pains while flowing to their groove.
BEING HONEST:
Before the dress code changes Crown, beefed up security measures, and commitment to CLASS it was not a nightclub that you would find the mature, grown & sexy crowd frequenting. I am talking about the ladies and gentlemen 25 & older who dress up and step out. They hit the club after a week of studying and grinding that 9 to 5 to celebrate their success. The requirement of upscale club attire (business casual) has increased Crown's profile and given it a classier vibe. It attracts the people who aren't complaining about a $300 bottle because everyone in their party has a job. It is has not reached its FULL POTENTIAL but I believe that over time Crown will set the bar and be the standard by which urban nightclubs are judged in Las Vegas. You are representing Hip-Hop and R&B in Sin City, and the level to which you have stepped your game up and rose to the challenge in unbelievable. The reason why they are experiencing a greater level of success since the dress code is because grown men and women know that you can be sexy on a budget. The price doesn't matter when you wear it well. Ladies keep it sophisticated and elegant. Gentleman suave and debonair is always in style.
