So let me get this straight, the seating area has now been cut in half as they now have a "laptops not allowed" section??? I showed up today with my wife and brother in law as we wanted to study and have some coffee and cookies as we always have. to our surprise we were unable to, the only tables that were available for seating now have signs on them that say "laptops not allowed". As I was puzzled by the sign on the table thinking it might be a joke I politely lined up and waited to ask an employee if I could still use the table to study even though it was in the "no laptop" section. the employee simply replied with a harsh "NO". I explained to her that the other section with laptops is completely full but she still replied no. Pretty disappointing... why offer wifi if I can't even use my laptop? the "no laptop" section was half empty so why not allow me to just use my laptop anyways? why do you have such a waste of space in the middle of the room where all the seating is? why not insert a long communal study table in the middle of the room and have regular seating along the sides? with a long communal study table you can easily fit another 20 people that can use their laptops and wouldn't affect your seating for patrons who just wanna chat and have a coffee. you guys seriously dropped the ball on the seating design. no coffee shop that I know of limits laptop usage by seating. we will not be returning to this place.
oh and here's the kicker, you cant use your laptop on those tables but if you wanna just lay all of your books out and hog the table all by yourself for 4 hours, you can!
